As a child, I fondly remember daily morning
visits to nearby outdoor farmer markets where
many local farmers sold their produce and
meat products. I fell in love with the
unpretentious charm of the morning market.
My mother's home cooked meals blended
perfectly with local vendors' just picked food. I
was hooked, inspired to find only the best food
everywhere. My passion for delicious fresh food also strengthened my cooking skills,
noticeably more than the culinary classroom.

Also, many years of sampling food on the streets of Bangkok with local food cart cooks
for their treasured recipes has proven to be amazingly useful. From those life
ingredients, my cooking style flourished. After living for a decade in the US and
understanding the American palette, just before the new century, my family purchased
an existing Thai restaurant and transformed it into a community gathering spot--
reminiscent of summer days in Thailand enjoying laugh-filled conversations and quality
local cooking.

Our aim at Royal Siam is to find only the freshest, best quality ingredients to cook
delightful, yet reasonably priced dishes for our returning and new customers. The Royal
Siam menu is inspired by traditional Thai dishes and enhanced by modern California
accents. Among Royal Siam's signature dishes are warm crispy rice on cold salad,
garlic scallops with seasonal greens and Panang curry salmon.
